100% cotton shirts handmade in India.

My father was in the late seventies and mid-eighties making unique printed shirts.

He chose the fabric and made the design which he then sewed with the help of a tailor.

They are original pieces that at the time had been sold at the flea market in Anjuna, Goa, one of the memorable pieces of the Goa Freaks.

History

The 70s and 80s were a time of creation, of experimentation, where in Europe there was still a lot of conservative current, but young people wanted more. Many Europeans and Americans embarked on the adventure, to live new experiences different from what they had at home. This resulted in a movement of young people to Asia, to discover all that they were missing.

All those who didn’t make the trip enjoyed living the experience through the stunning narratives and objects their acquaintances brought when they returned, creating a fairly growing market for exotic things. It is in this context when this line of shirts emerges, inspiring designers to make different, original clothes.

Here are born these shirts, which are now vintage, from handmade Indian cotton in Goa, the epicenter of this whole cultural movement. The fabrics are prints made by the locals and were the main reason for inspiration.

There are several models and some sizes, but they are all made of the best quality cotton.

Washing

When washing is recommended the first time by hand, as they can release some color, and subsequent washes should be in cold water programs, to avoid losing colors.
