Original winter wool kimono from Japan.
Kimono without lining but with double eri (neck) and button. I understand that it is a garment designed for winter and to be worn over another thick kimono or juban.
It has clear marks of moths, has been poorly kept and this has caused it to have the occasional hole. The bottoms have had to be cut about 5 cm as this is where it was most emaciated. The trim has been re-sewn and it looks great.
